Andrea Brown
Andrea Brown of Fire Garden Pottery holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from
the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and Tufts University,
Medford, Mass. Her formative years were spent in the rainy Northwest.
There the roots of her artists' sensibility developed under the
instruction of Northwest sculptor, Ray Jensen. Her works include
oxy-acetylene welded sculptures, paintings on paper, and mixed media
objects and installations. Currently Andrea creates wheel-thrown,
functional and art pottery at Mudflat Pottery Studio in Somerville, MA,
studying with artist/potter Howard Gerstein. She finds inspiration in
both the external and internal worlds.
